Seluna Dawnsea
Height: 5’3”
Weight: 115 lbs
Eyes: Green/blue
This Sin’dorei is extremely pale and
somewhat fragile looking. She looks to have spent far more time at
study or indoors than roaming Eversong Woods in her youth. Despite
her obvious lack of physical exertion, she possesses a certain lithe
grace in her movements, characteristic of all of her people.
Seluna is dressed in elegant robes,
obviously of fine cut and decorated with expensive threadwork. She
carries little on her person that marks her profession, although she
may on occasion have a battlestaff or wand at hand. There is a
distinct lack of magical affects on her person that one might
associate with spellcasting.
Seluna’s hair is pitch black and
styled in the latest fashion. Jeweled clips hold it in place here and
there, and her ear rings, rings, bracelets, and necklaces match these
items. All of them are adorned with precious stones and enough wealth
to make one’s head turn.
For those attuned to the Light,
particularly paladins and priests of a very devout nature, something
seems decidedly wrong about Seluna. An untrained initiate would not
notice such a thing, but there is a definite taint of scourge or
necromantic magic about her. The most highly attuned might be
uncomfortable standing very close to her, or find her touch
particularly unpleasant.
Seluna’s eyes, while the fel green of
the Sin’dorei, sometimes appear almost ice blue. This effect tends
to happen out of the corner of the eye, and a quick glance back at
her would reveal nothing, making one think they’d imagined it.
Seluna, once known as Selun’athiel
Dayfire, is the mother of Biara Dayfire. When Biara was approximately
sixty years old, her father, Tel’athar, was assassinated while
meeting with a group of workers. Selun’athiel witnessed his death,
and in her despair used her magic to slay the assassins, as well as
all of the innocents present, and took her own life in the process.
Much of her family, and many other
Houses, believed her to be a mass murderess. She slumbered in the
uneasy rest of the dead, forgotten by all but a few. Recently, her
daughter Biara began experimenting with necromancy, and through an
accident, allowed Selun’athiel’s spirit to return to Azeroth.
The spirit was repelled by Biara’s
allies, and they thought nothing more of it, but it had not been
returned to death, and lingered on in malice. Having found a host
after several months of almost non-existence, Selun’athiel, now
calling herself Seluna, has vowed revenge on her daughter, and has
sworn that she will return Silvermoon to its former glory, prior to
the destruction of the Sunwell.
As shown in her description, those very
attuned to the Light may sense the necromantic magic used to recall
Seluna’s spirit. Other than a lingering taint of necromancy and
scourge power, she exhibits no other hint at her origins, and has no
capabilities beyond the form she has anchored herself to. She is
rooted within it, returned to life once more, the malice of her
thoughts lingering in her mind.
