The Sin’dorei before you is clad in
an assortment of rich clothing, seemingly thrown together at random
from a variety of the latest court styles. The fabrics are expensive
and the detail on each piece is exquisite. All of Celessarae’s
clothing and equipment seems as if it had seen better days though,
with many of her garments having holes or threadbare spots, some of
which have been crudely patched and others ignored entirely.
One would think from her outfit that
Celessarae was down on her luck, or a noble experiencing bad times,
but further evaluation might lead to a different conclusion entirely.
Her confident swagger, her sharpened blades at each hip, and the
defiant look in her eye might lead one to the conclusion that the
items she is wearing perhaps never belonged to her in the first
place, and that the damage to the garments might in fact have been
from the acts committed to obtain them.
Beyond her clothing, this Sin’dorei
has striking blonde hair, usually cut long and allowed to blow in the
wind. Her eyes are a very striking Fel Green, and she clearly is one
to indulge in Fel or other magics as her whim takes her. Her ears are
decorated with a number of golden loops, placed haphazardly through
each long lobe as if worn simply as an afterthought. Her hands, arms,
and wrists are crisscrossed with scars, clearly from years of
swordplay.
When preparing for battle, she is also
known at times to wear light plate pieces, usually form fitted to
allow her freedom of motion. In fact, she moves so easily in this
armor that you suspect it might be enchanted, or perhaps not as
sturdy as it seems. All of her plate armor pieces have buckles on the
outside, as if to allow for quick removal if the user were to be
thrown into water. Her armor tends to be dented and rusty, apparently
ill-cared for.
A full appraisal of Celessarae would
lead you to believe that it is better not to question her too
closely, unless of course you need some bladework performed perhaps.
You somehow get the feeling that she might be quite adept at such
tasks.
History
Born to House Sunblade, Celessarae
spent much of her youth getting into and out of trouble with her
various relatives. The black sheep of the family, she often spent
long periods of time away from home and in the forests of Eversong.
She eventually met a ranger captain and fell in love during her many
adventures there, and many thought she would settle down.
During the scourge invasion, she and
her beloved were forced to flee with other refugees to Sunsail
Anchorage. It is here that her life took a drastic turn for the
worse. Finding her love infected with plague from a vicious ghoul
bite, and trapped amidst a crowd of refuges seeking to flee on one of
the docked ships called the Golden Blade, Celessarae had a part of
her survival instincts awaken within her.
She killed her love, freeing him
forever from the plague of undeath. She went on to slaughter the
ship’s captain when he didn’t force the other refugees overboard,
and seized the ship. Taking charge of the crew, she opened fire on
the civilians attempting to board the ship and had the mooring lines
cut, freeing it. In a final act that few can explain, she used the
Golden Blade to ram another ship called the Song of the Sun, which
was slowly being overrun by infected civilians despite the fact that
some remained onboard to fight.
Since that time, she has renamed the
ship the Shattered Blade, and has become a reaver and pirate. Often
working for herself, she has built a reputation for murder and
mayhem. Recently she was contracted as a privateer for the Horde, and
has been savaging Alliance shipping until the Shattering forced her
damaged vessel back to port in Silvermoon.
Where her adventures will lead next,
none can say for sure.
