Last evening was an
utter disaster, as the pain I still feel in my leg will remind me for
days to come. I have failed to cure Lord Sondor of the malicious entity
that lurks within his own mind. I will continue to try though until he
is cured, as his condition is clearly my fault for my misuse of magic.
It is another lesson to be taken to heart, the mind is not something
with which I excel, and I may not be able to resolve his issues. I will
do my best though, even if he slays me.
The creature within Lord Sondor, known as Hush, has taken a dangerous and unhealthy interest in my person. I know now that it stalks me, and would do ill to me. Does it love me? Does it only desire my flesh? I cannot tell. What I do know is that Lord Sondor and this creature both have access to a realm of poisons, potions, and herbs that I am completely unfamiliar with. The poison that struck me last evening would have had this creature owning me, if not for my foresight in hiring my own blade to accompany me. I will have to make preparations in the event that the creature strikes at me again. Galvan Swiftblade is knowledgeable in such matters, and I have reached out to him for the proper antidote. Hopefully in the future I will not be made into a fool, and will be well prepared if Hush attacks me.
I was quite embarressed by what happened last evening. I do hope Trieanna will forgive me for being wounded in such an obvious and blatant manner. I should have taken more care, she did after all warn me that he was about to strike! I will repay the debt that I owe the little assassin. She was bold to stand up to Lord Sondor, espcially considering his mental condition.
I am deeply concerned about the use of potions and other alchemical items that Kyliska and Alithria have engaged in with this Lord Sondor. Seeing the affects of such a potion myself now, though involuntarily, I know that these two especially would be susceptible to further manipulation by Hush. Their own foolish desire to engage in such activities puts them at grave risk. Lord Sondor must be hunted down and cured or eliminated immediately. I will not have my sister and Daser's soon-to-be bride in danger from this creature for one second longer than necessary.
I will meditate now, and hopefully calm my mind. The creature harmed me, but the wounds will heal quickly, and I have learned many things about how to better defend myself from his assaults going forward. I will not be taken unawares again.
